How can we do this to our children?
U.S. children are consuming more than 10 pounds of sugar annually if they eat a typical morning bowl of cereal each day, contributing to obesity and other health problems (Reuters 2014).
Ten pounds of sugar is freakin’ huge! This is just breakfast for our kids mind you, image what the real total sugar consumed on the year is.

The Environmental Working Group, a Washington, D.C.-based health information non-profit, said its report covers more than 1,500 cereals, including 181 marketed to children.
When asked about the study, a top official from Kellogg points out that the study leaves out the benefits provided by a cereal breakfast. Really? How does this person sleep at night? What health benefits could possibly offset that much refined sugar consumed during the year? The answer is none.
If you buy 10 one pound bags of sugar and stack then on your kitchen counter, then image consuming them all – you’d probably vomit. Ten pounds is just from one meal, what about the sugar consumed by our little ones throughout the rest of the day?
